Latex with WKD Heart

So I did a second shoot with Gregg and Sam of Wicked Heart Photography back end of last year, I am just so far behind in my blogs that it isn't even funny. I took only latex, so the only thing we shot was latex, at the lovely Mayfield Studio. My personal fave studio in Newcastle, also the most central one. I'm having the pleasure of shooting there with Hannah Todd at the weekend :)

I got through 3 outfits for this shoot firstly my wee black and gold set, which I have worn for a few shoots before. I don't generally feel comfortable just in my undies especially with any part of my tummy on show but Sam and Gregg always make sure you're comfortable and always make you feel good about yourself. I feel so hot it was stupid honestly! This is my fave shot from my first outfit, because they compliment their models so much it gives you the extra push to perform extra hard and this is what I got.

My second outfit was picked by Sam, I do love the super girly colour mix of the minty green with the barbie pink. Although I have lost quite a bit of weigh and now struggle to fill the top. So I was trying to effectively pose around my lack of breasts.

I picked my 'Katy Perry' esque ensemble for the last set of shots. I crazy Primark strapless bra which I stuck loads of misc stuff from Primark onto. It looks quite cool in pics though. The sky is also epic in this shot, I'm not sure how much of it was real and how much is photoshop though. I highly recommend Gregg and Sam to anyone, their images and banter are both second to none.

My Top 10 of 2011

02:54 Posted In , , , , , , , , , Edit This 0 Comments »
Just thought I'd briefly blog my 10 favourite images of 2011. I have been so honoured to work with so many amazing people, and meet so many people and I have to say Catalyst Latex made my year, they're support of me has boosted my confidence and the work I have done for them has helped me become a better model. I have had many different hair colours, my weight has fluctuated as it always does. I'm going to try and not ramble too much so here we go, in no particular order....

1. This shot was taken by a lovely lady photographer Dawn Gilfillan at Mayfield Studio, she wanted to do some pin up shots of me so I just packed my case up with a massive selection of vintage style undies and got some fab shots. This is one of the best ones and this shot is also at the back of my current set of business cards.

2. This image was actually taken back in January by my friend and one of my favourite photographers, Richard Shepherd at Banana Studio. It was just after I'd dyed my hair blue and I hadn't really got the hang of it yet. The colours pop in this shot though and it was featured on the 'Hot Chicks in Star Wars T-shirts' blog.

3. In my purple haired phase, I did my very first shoot for Catalyst Latex with my partner Nicholas Gray, again at Mayfield Studio. It was all very rushed thanks to City Link who apparently can't read nor co-operate. However I love this shot and I felt really good about myself after these were edited and uploaded. Probably also helped by the fact we used a fabulous MUA, Alex Pretswell

4. This image was only taken last month by another fabulous photographer I have worked with many times Mr Jonathan Keys. It's not actually the most flattering picture of me, but I am enjoying the attitude and it's probably one of my favourite black and white images of myself.

5. I was lucky enough to do a proper bridal shoot with a real faux groom and everything, this was done in York, with wedding photographers Tux and Tales Photography and my husband was Pete Von Stanton, probably the best thing I have ever discovered on Model Mayhem, I don't think I have managed to get any other shoots through that site. The photographer really wanted to create an 'alternative feel' wedding and I think we succeeded.

6. I finally got to work with a couple of photographers that I have appreciated from afar, well...online, for literally years. The first of these photographers is Sam and Gregg Jamieson of Wicked Heart Photography. They have shot amazing images off all the most well known North East burlesque artists and some of the nicest models. I have shot with them twice and they are such absolutely lovely people, they make me feel good about my posing and how I look and it gives you a high!

7. The second photographer who I hadn't really had a chance to shoot with mostly because our timetables never match up is Chris Harrison of Grime and Glamour. He is good craic, and I feel comfortable talking to him about what I want from images. I haven't yet done any studio shots with him but I would like to some time in the future. Our best images were from our first shoot on location got lots off odd looks from taxi drivers, I also got to meet Anthony Dorman who is a sterling chap and you should check out his photography also.

8. I did a super quick shoot with amazing photographer Brian James (aka Derk German) his images are powerful and he very much has his own style. It was a very enjoyable shoot although it last for about 20-25 mins top. Hopefully I can convince him to work with me again sometime preferably outdoors.

9. I have suddenly cracked out a few shoots with Sam Corban over the last few months, he's a cheeky wee scamp that boy, always singing, always dancing, always swinging a ring flash in your face. He didn't take many modelly shots at our group shoot at Banana Studio however he got this shot of me which I love and it's my main image on my Purestorm account and will remain that way until someone can top it.

10. Lastly but not leastly, I have enjoyed a couple of shoots with Meg of Spellbound Imagery. She is such a lovely gal and her family and pooches are fantabulous too. My favourite shot taken by her of me is probably one from the studio shoot in Banana, it shows off my tattoo really well and it looks like I am totally singing.

So recently I got to work with someone I have been dying to work with for years now since I first saw their images of the likes of Madamoiselle Boo, Katy Kamikaze & of course Anna Fur Laxis, who am I talking about? Of course the wonderful and amazing Gregg and Sam of Wicked Heart Photography.

Their work is so clean and colourful, they make every woman look as stunning as each other (I haven't seen any images they have done of blokes but I'd imagine they make them look pretty hot too!). I actually shot with them on the 26th of September but I am getting a bit behind with my blogs. Again this was a shoot where I wasn't asked to bring anything specific just some 'Alt' gear which actually when I looked at the photos I failed to do.

We did this shoot at Mayfield Studio, shot there plenty of times now. By far the best rental studio in the North East. Most central and best owners. No drama. Also at the studio that day, Chris Harrison was shooting, I got to do some images with the lovely Loki Winters and I got to meet Derk German, I blogged my shoot with him last month.

Sam and Gregg pretty much work together, having constant laughs and they compliment you so much you feel virtually super human, I had such an amazing time shooting with them. It was very comfortable and very informal and I think the images pretty much speak for themselves. I am waiting for another set of images from them that are all bendy and latexy and I can't wait! :)

Boudoir Times With Mandy Charlton

04:25 Posted In , , , , Edit This 0 Comments »
I got to have a little trip to work with Mandy Charlton last week in her brand spanking new studio which you can now 'Like' on Facebook, you can also rent this studio by the hour which is good, I don't think there can be enough of studios like this when there are so many student types in the North East.

She asked me to go and do a boudoir shoot, which is sometimes something a gal can give her man as a gift, possibly for Christmas or just before their wedding, bit of a sneaky peek at what they have to come on their wedding night.

If I'm honest I struggled, I was trying to put myself in the frame of mind of someone who never gets in front of camera, someone who is maybe camera shy but I'm a model and normally I'm requested to model, I leave Dani at the door and I become Dee La Beau. I wear my confidence cloak and stride in to what ever shoot I am required to do. I don't think I performed my best at this shoot, I can only hope that Mandy got what see wanted from this photo shoot. I actually think I would have managed with the faux shyness better if I was doing implied nude, I hate my naked body.

The studio has a black background and a white background which sounds quite basic but the space is huge and the dressing facilities are really nice and there are tonnes of props to play with. Also nice to work in a studio that isn't embroiled in 'Studio Wars'! You're s
afe with The Photography Studio and Mayfield.

If you're looking to treat yourself or your partner to some pics of you looking all sexy and beautiful you should drop Mandy a message, lovely lady, great banter and I assure you she will make you feel comfortable.

Sugarlesque and Spice and all things Nice! :)

So that group shoot that I did in January I wore some beautiful items from Sugarlesque! I got a couple of body suits from the lovely Ruka and I absolutely adore them I am trying to find a way to work them into a burlesque act somehow.

If you're down London way you should visit her brand spanking new boutique, if like me, you are uber north just have a look on the website! http://www.sugarlesque.com/

Quite enjoy the pink against my blue hair! I have to admit I have gone purple now, I am trying to keep doing the pin up and vintagey stuff, trying to brand myself as Alt-Vintage! I have three shoots and a burly night to perform so I am probably gonna have a mega end of March catch up!

My next performance is for my stunning homegirls at The Shadow Gallery, I think I am going to do my Curse of Katy Perry act once more and I'm not sure about which other act I am gonna do, might see what mood I am in on the week! :D

My Trip to the Capital

09:44 Posted In , , , , , Edit This 0 Comments »
Towards the middle of last month I had a trip down to London, not much fun doing the train journey from Newcastle to London and back on your own in a day. The trip had a purpose I was heading down to Erotica to spend the day with my friend Dave. This was before the utterly crappy snow started. I got down about 11:30 I am not a massive fan of London, I enjoy the slow paced 'tomorrow will do' attitude of the North East, if that makes me lazy so be it.

Went to a pub so cheap it could challenge a Wetherspoon's, although the veggie burgers (which is my regular at Spoons even though I am not a vegetarian) were better at this random pub.

Went into Erotica done a walk around a couple of times, seeing some of the amazing Maya Hansen and Velda Lauder corsets that I normally only get to dream of online in the flesh was amazing! If I had been a woman of means I would have severely dented my bank balance. I was sort of interested in the kink but the classier stuff was really my reason for going. There was a great stand that did amazing leather steampunky corsets too, absolutely amazing.

Speaking of classy, I went to see my friend Nicole, boss of The Hourglass and all round stunner who offered to do my hair for me. One of my photos were on The Hourglass display, this one in fact. Just FYI I am trying to sell my Neon Corset as it is now massive, it's the Danielle corset by Madame Le Strange, the bra too if anyone is interested. I would have loved it for a costume but I have lost a few inches and it doesn't do me any favours anymore.

Nicole mentioned that the Kiss Me Deadly stand was understaffed and asked if I fancied working over there for a few hours! I did and I had such fun, selling pretty things to pretty people made a Ms La Beau very happy. I also got work in my supercute KMD Vargas Dress which I already had on in accidental preparation, best work uniform ever. I had an amazing time and cannot recommend their products highly enough! If you're a girly girl you must check out their new Candy Box range its limited edition and to DIE for! Here is me 'working'!

In case you are unaware there has been some snow, meant I couldn't get to see the Mr at the weekend, I have been very very very hormonal all sorts going around me at the moment and I am not even donating eggs yet. I get to see him soon it's the stupid simple stuff I miss so much. Ended up having a pretty good weekend anyway, was a hell of a lot better than sitting at home watching Dating in the Dark repeats on my own.

I will be doing my pointless poetic Christmas list again like I did last year! The main thing I want is Lotsa from Toy Story 3 but I am reckoning the kids would totally pinch it!

Had a shoot a few weeks ago with a lovely gentleman called Les Higgins, he was very down to earth and I really enjoyed the shoot. It had actually meant to have been with another photographer, one which was very short to the point of virtually being rude in emails so I was glad he hadn't turned up in the end. I actually met the guy a couple of days later and he wasn't all that and sure his work is perfectly lovely but I don't need to work with someone with that attitude.

This was during the two weeks I was at my boyfriend's place, when the kids were with their Daddy and I felt the need to cram in as many shoots as possible.
Anyway the shoot was at Studio 5000, I have some more pics from another shoot there too which I will blog in a bit.

I wore my adorable (new favourite frock!) Able Grable Ready Hedy or as my boyfriend affectionately calls it 'The Cheese Dress'. I love it, I put it on and it makes me feel instantly happy, it's summer in a frock. I did a sort of strip tease thing and I quite like the way the images turned out. My underwear was the stunning yet supportive Josephine Corselette by What Katie Did. I have wore it for a few shoots now so I feel I should pimp it out a bit. Really loving the new Swiss Dot range for A/w10 too!

Funny story actually, probably works better when I do the seedy voice. I was going back to Nick's after doing the shoot and a geezer started talking to me.

"You're a sight for sore eyes, where you off to?"
"My boyfriend's"
"He's a lucky man"
"He probably won't even notice he'll be playing on his Xbox"
"Wish you were my girlfriend"
"See ya!"

Well obviously not really! I did a lot of shoots last week and I just going to blog them one by one to give them the time they deserve.

I normally use Purestorm and Model Mayhem to arrange my shoots, if you're looks to start modeling this is a good place to start. I have had quite a lot of people asking lately. You can also find some photographers on Facebook too. Beware of perverts with cameras though because there are a fair few of them.

I had a shoot about two weeks ago with Russ and Paul, two fab guys who made me laugh, it was quite a weird set up having two photographers and one model. I have been to shoots where there have been two models and one photographer but this was completely different, bouncing ideas of each other and taking turns. It was good though and I am delighted with some of the images.

her Kiss Me Deadly Vargas Dress! I have worn my Red and Black a gazillion times and for shoots and it's still as awesome as it was the day I received it from Joanna's Wardrobe. It gives great support and I also quite like that the 32 DD fits me. Also it holds you in without giving you any unpleasant lines.

I wore it once for an Hourglass Shoot in March and at the weekend on my shoot with Grahame Jenkins

I also have it in the Peach which absolutely stunning! I am wearing it for a Film Noir style shoot next month. I bought my Peach one from La Magia, fab place to by all manner of sexiness. I am no Morgana but this makes me feel at least 35% as sexy as she is! :)

My gorgeous friend Ellen also has the Vargas in White. I can vouch for it being as awesome. Speaking of which I have noticed that someone has been searching my blog for info on Ellen, she will be opening up her own FB page for your stalking pleasure. You can also find her her on Twitter.
