Clowns, Pillow Fights and Grimey Bathroom Sets

Eek can't believe I am blogging a shoot from March, I need to get my tushie into gear so much to share/bore you with.

Rolled up to Studio 5000 which recently was robbed which is a shame, I hate to hear of people and places I like being crimed on.

I loved this shoot, it was quite literally with some of my favourite people, people who made my 2010 bearable! Sadly Debs had to bail at the last minute because she was poorly but despite that the shoot went pretty well and no-one was standing around bored.

I got to work with two of my favourite photographers my loverman Nicholas Gray and tip top down to earth mate Shepy. The models were newly branded Havannah Wildtime, Jason McCullagh and a lovely girly I met at a group shoot Victoria Price.

The staff at the studio are always very helpful and this shoot was no exception.

I was lucking enough to get pictures taken with each of the other models and I'm gonna share 'em with you now!

Me and Havannah both had clownesque costumes, mine was a Harley Quinn costume as it's known I am a bit of a geekette who likes to dress up it's logical I'd be a lady villan at some point.

Me and Vicky did a sterotypical girly pillow fight shot. It's really hard to get the balance right between looking attractive for the camera and actually having a pop at your opponent.

Lastly one of Nick's best mates Jason. He is just an awesome fella, few people make me laugh the way Jason does. Its a relenless barrage of comedy which leaves you sitting in a puddle of wee. He is a professional model and just a class person to spend time with. I kinda had an image in mind for this, this is almost it but me and Jason were laughing so much that we weren't fully committed to the task in hand.

I am sooo far behind in my blog it's not funny! I think I have 3 shoots/events I need to blog. This time I will be having a ramble about a group shoot I attended last month. Went to BananaStudio with friends mostly and done 4 hours worth of shooting and having a laugh. I quite like arranging the group shoots but I feel responsible on the day and tend to always end up out of pocket, and now when one of the togs hasn't given any images to the girls I feel somehow responsible.

This shoot was attended by 4 models and 3 photographers, a ratio which worked quite well. There was always one model getting ready.

I used to love Bananastudio, me and my Nicholas did a shoot there last year where I was modeling Able Grable blouses and frilly knickers and the shots were awesome. They used to have sets there and variety and I have to say the plain backgrounds they have there now are pretty dull in comparison. Another studio, Mayfield Studio, has opened above World Headquarters in town and it's the same drab Grey, White, Black and they have thrown in a Khaki, whoop de doo. Does mean I now have to travel to Studio 5000 to get a bit of variety and it's quite a long metro journey away.

Here are 3 images from the day, one each from Richard Shepherd, Deborah Sanders and Matt Wagster.

On a completely different note, I am in the early stages of sorting out a charity event for the back end of the year and I am really amazed by the performers and businesses offering support so far, also my boyfriend is being a star and helping me out with ideas etc. Should be an amazing night and hopefully we can raise money for a very very worthy cause! Playing my cards very close to my chest in case it goes tits up!

Shoots Shoot Shoots!

Now actually waiting for images from 5 photographers, normally I dislike the wait but I think it's also kinda cool because by the time you get to see the pictures you've sort of forgotten the shoot itself so the images are a surprise and it brings the memories back.

I did a shoot with a fella in Darlington, but word on the street is that he takes a few months to return the images. Been there before though, I waited for about 4 months for some bridal images and got them back unedited. Get to learn valuable lessons about who is worth working with and who talks out of their arse. I am pleased that I can now interact with local models and burlesquey types to find out what people are like.

Here are a couple of images from the group shoot. One from Mr Shepy and one from delightful Miss Deborah Sanders.

Nothing really new going on, I have bored you already about my burlesque performances. Me and Nick are the same, just waiting for 'luck' to do it's thing and end this crappiness. I haven't been sleeping and that makes me a very very moody cow. Noticed how fake my smiles are on my shoots over the last few month, Dee La Faux. Anyway, I have a bra to customize for my Katy Perry tribute shoot. Tatty bye.

Daisy Stays Group Shoot - Corsets and Craziness!

If you have a minute you should check out the Gallery of all the images from the Daisy Stays group shoot which took place in County Durham mid August shot by Richard Shepherd. It had been planned months in advance and there had been a lot of expectation on the day. I had to get up really early to get the metro from Sunderland up to Sharon's place to get all dolled up!

I got to rock two items of delight! One black and white underbust corset and an Oriental styley one which I am in love with and very keen to use for another shoot. I am currently customizing my black corset for my burlesque debut in Sunderland on the 15th of October, shall bore you with the details in a later blog! :)

There was some also quality candid shots taken on the day! Gonna show some love for my homegirl Ellen, one where I am doing some amateur MUAing on her purdy face and another when it looks kinda like I am bumming her! Couldn't have got through 2010 without her, she had administered both hugs and slaps when I have needed them.

I have that vintage shoot tomorrow going to have a practice with my hair today and then I get to visit the the love of my life on Friday, everything is tickety boo.
