Sugarlesque and Spice and all things Nice! :)

So that group shoot that I did in January I wore some beautiful items from Sugarlesque! I got a couple of body suits from the lovely Ruka and I absolutely adore them I am trying to find a way to work them into a burlesque act somehow.

If you're down London way you should visit her brand spanking new boutique, if like me, you are uber north just have a look on the website! http://www.sugarlesque.com/

Quite enjoy the pink against my blue hair! I have to admit I have gone purple now, I am trying to keep doing the pin up and vintagey stuff, trying to brand myself as Alt-Vintage! I have three shoots and a burly night to perform so I am probably gonna have a mega end of March catch up!

My next performance is for my stunning homegirls at The Shadow Gallery, I think I am going to do my Curse of Katy Perry act once more and I'm not sure about which other act I am gonna do, might see what mood I am in on the week! :D

Bit of Blue

So I spent a night in York last weekend, with my lovely lovely potential in laws and boyfriend. Was nice, its odd that I find it easier to get on with Nick's family than I do with my own. Don't really know what my family's beef is to be honest, whatever I do simply isn't good enough so I've given up trying to impress them I am just going to make me happy. I don't want sympathy, I know I am not the only person in the universe who has a grievance with their family, mine is so large just disappointing not one of them gives a monkeys. I feel welcome with Nick's peeps and it's nice, most of his friends pretty goddamn lovely to me too.

On the way back from York I did a shoot with Jonathan Keys, my third shoot with his fella. Really enjoy working with him we have a laugh and it's all very comfortable and laid back. I have been wanting to shoot at Newcastle Civic Centre for ages, I actually done a mini one with the kids and photographer Mandy Charlton about 3 weeks back and this encouraged me more to go forth with the fashion shoot.

The civic centre is lit up sort of blueish at night and I thought it would work really well with my hair. Here are a couple of images the first one I am presuming is my boyfriends favourite as he's liked/faved it on both my Flickr and Facebook. Ooh I am also wearing a delightful Scarlet Street Blouse from Able Grable (of which I have 4), in this shot! Was quite nice to wear a repro vintage piece and put it in a completely non vintage setting.

My dear friend Miss Matilda also used one of my images on her Etsy shop, from my shoot with Mark Pinder wearing my Miss Lola Burns frock and it sold within I a couple of house. The dress is now discontinued but if you wanted one I am sure Able Grable could rustle you up something similar.

Finished my bra for my Katy Perry shoot on the 9th, was going to be this morning but didn't happen, shame because I would of quite liked a print for a stage prop but it will probably be pushing it for time.

Dee La Blue

I fancied a change, so I decided to go from a brunette which I have always been to attempting a head of blue hair. It's probably just a phase to be fair but a lot of my photos are starting to look the same and I wanted the challenge of working something different and it sure is! I had already booked a shoot with a photographer last week and thought he might want to cancel due to my hair colour change but that wasn't the case he was just as keen.

Took a few shots just in my lounge with my boyfriend, Nicholas Gray, just so I could debut the blue if you know what I mean. It's very different, and my Mum wasn't keen. I also took Nick to meet my Mum for the first time, it was a bit of a non event, I had been really worried leading up to it but it was fine. I also introduced Nick to the delicacy of a deep fried pizza kinda got a combined thumbs up and thumbs down!

I would encourage you to head over to Nick's Flickr where has been taking some pretty amazing night shots of late.

Had an amazing group shoot with some fabulous people, Shepy, Deborah Sanders, my friend Ellen, Constance Peach, Matt Wagster and a fantabulous alt model Cybertrash. I will blog the images as they come through. I was also lucky enough to have pics taken with all the other models :) Also awaiting images from the shoot I did in Darlington last week.

Doing a Katy Perry tribute shoot next weekend with a local photographer, copying the cover of the California Gurls single cover, I have also decided to do this for my next Burlesque act at the Shadow Gallery, this time in Durham rather than Sunderland.

Part of my costume is from the lovely HeyDay! Vintage Style Clothing site, not sure if you remember me blogging the amazingness of their vintage style trousers. You should head over to the lovely Shona's blog as they are having a Giveaway! Whoop! Also you should follow on Twitter - @HeyDayVS

Good Morning!!

I have emailed so many photographers lately they are all just merged into a massive uber gloopy photographic orb, like 'The Blob' or something. Think I have confirmed 3 more shoots though, and one this week in which I will be taking some of my favourite AbleGrable stuff and prancing around a studio!

You should check out the newest addition to the AbleGrable collection the Boudoir Kitten! I am absolutely in love!

I am still wanting to do a shoot in a paddling pool full of jelly. I have sold loads of my bra/boobie items that are too big and I quite fancy a cossie from ForLuna, can't decide which of these three are most 'DeeLaBeau'. Currently leaning towards the Blue Cherry one!

A Girl Can Depend on...

her Kiss Me Deadly Vargas Dress! I have worn my Red and Black a gazillion times and for shoots and it's still as awesome as it was the day I received it from Joanna's Wardrobe. It gives great support and I also quite like that the 32 DD fits me. Also it holds you in without giving you any unpleasant lines.

I wore it once for an Hourglass Shoot in March and at the weekend on my shoot with Grahame Jenkins

I also have it in the Peach which absolutely stunning! I am wearing it for a Film Noir style shoot next month. I bought my Peach one from La Magia, fab place to by all manner of sexiness. I am no Morgana but this makes me feel at least 35% as sexy as she is! :)

My gorgeous friend Ellen also has the Vargas in White. I can vouch for it being as awesome. Speaking of which I have noticed that someone has been searching my blog for info on Ellen, she will be opening up her own FB page for your stalking pleasure. You can also find her her on Twitter.

Wonder what Valentines...

...equivalent to 'Bah-Humbug' would be? 'Bah-token heart shaped box of chocs' doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Anyway the point I am trying to make is that Valentines Day doesn't feature for us anymore, when you have been together for 9 years it doesn't, hell we don't do anything for our wedding anniversary either, not because I am not sentimental but because the Mr isn't. I remember once when we rented a house from his ex's presents I found loads of love letters that he had wrote his ex and it proper peed me off. I asked how come you never did that for me, he answered 'I don't need to do that for you'. Thanks man.

Anyway imaginary scenario, I'm not married to Mr Le Beau, I am in a new relationship with super sensitive and romantic Mr Bailey Roth, we have been dating for a month or so and it's amazing. All that hot romance and stuff is there, he makes the effort, he's the perfect gent. He is taking me out on Valentines day and then we're going to walk along the beach barefoot and it's going to be at least 30oC.

The main question is! What the hell would I wear for this? Mr Le Beau says I don't suit red but I like red, so I am going to wear red goddamn it!

I have been eyeing it up for ages so I'd probably get myself the delicious Bettie Page Peek-a-boo dress from amazing store and eye candy heaven Pin up Parade

I am getting a pair of Rocket Originals for my birthday but for this frock I'd go for the Georgia Red/Cream ones and I'd seek out some gorgeous Rose themed hair item!

Ah well a girl is allowed to dream.......

Snowing Again! I'm thinking High Waisted Shorts....

Just before Christmas I developed an unnatural obsession for vintage swimsuits and high waisted shorts. There are loads of shorts of out there with a bit of a vintage flavour, or even to wear with crazy tights and DM's.

I got my very first pair from Tara Starlet I am normally a size 12 (although I have to admit I have quite a curvalicious rear) and the 12 fit me perfectly. I got the red ones, the fabric is really nice reasonably this but with a bit of stretch. At £45 they seem an bit bit steep for how teeny they are but I'd say these are my first and my favourite high waisted shorts. Mega cheesy pic of me wearing aforementioned shorts.

I also have a pair from Big Beautiful Barbara Brown a gorgeous store than does some really pretty dress, hairbands, playsuits and all sorts of repro vintage stuff, I went there because I specifically wanted a pair in tartan and she makes tartan frocks so I asked her to run me up a pair of the shorts. I am not going to complain too much because the shorts are gorgeous but even though I have lost weight the zipper still falls down without any sort of pressure. I am going to get a new zipper put in them. I do love them though they are a really cute shape.

I have also been having a rummage on the High St from cute shorts, I managed to get a stunning floral pair from Topshop, but had to get a size 16! Wish I was shocked about because I am normally a 12 but there is not a snowball in hells chance I was going to get into a 12 of these babies.

Miss Selfridge has a very cute selection like these. And I have seen a cute grey pair in Next I want to invest in.
