Pop Goes The Cherry..

..by that I mean my burlesque cherry of course!

Firstly I had a wonderful weekend, my boyfriend came up and between him and my best friend they made me feel tonnes better about getting my kit off in public. Firstly thank you muchly to those two! Also thank you to the lovely Carole, Sharon, Lisa and Nicky who came along too, was nice to have my homedudes there for me.

The theme of the evening was Horror Movies, and I chose to do Rocky Horror, most people know it and if I was absolutely crap at least the audience could drown themselves in a familier soundtrack. I was being Janet although I did consider being FrankNFurter!

Here are some pics of me doing my thing, shot by delicious lump of lover Nicholas Gray (who also gifted me with my eyelashes don't you know!) :) Here is my gorgeous Able Grable Boudoir Kitten in Black and Wink ;)

As it stands my next performance is the 19th of November but I am trying to sort out one before that. Nothing much in pipeline apart from vintage bridal shoot with lanky studmuffin Jason McCullagh who just happens to by my Nick's bestest bud!

Playing Catch Up.

Ok! I am three shoots behind on my blog and I am getting all confuzzled! Will probably blog and bore you on the next couple of days too.

Anyway! Still while I was at Nick's for two weeks in the beginning of August, on the same day as I did the shoot in Steel Wheels with Richard Hanley, I headed to Studio 5000 to do a shoot with a photographer called Rob Mackins. He was an amazingly funny guy, I was dancing, laughing and joking and it was a mega comfortable shoot. I wore about a zillion outfits.

Here are a few of my favourite images from the shoot.

I am currently customising my Daisy Stays black corset for my burlesqueness. The Daisy Stays shoot is another one I need to blog about, need to steal some pictures from her site :) My 'Poison' costume consists of sparklness, latex, amazing pasties from this fantastic US based etsy shop. Hoping I can get it all together and get my loverman to take a picture at the weekend, he currently poorly and I wish I was able to nurse him better.

Two shoots lined up this week, one with the kids, will be nice to have some family pics with us three together as I am normally the one taking the pics with me being a 'single' mum. The other is a vintagey shoot I have borrowed some amazing stuff from a vintage shop in Newcastle, the lady Gena is absolutely lovely. Able Grable might sneak in on Thursdays shoot too!

Able Grable Scarlet Street Blouse

I go through phases where I find an item I like and have it in lost of different colours. My favourite item of this type is my Scarlet Street blouses from Able Grable.

I had a shoot with my partner Nicholas Gray in Bananastudio in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and we had some fun and got some insanely colourful shots of me rocking my blouse. And I thought I would just share some with you.

I teamed my blouses with frilly panties from Lulu & Lush and What Katie Did and Hair Accessories from Flamingo Amy, Sighs and Whispers and Wandering Gypsy Couture.

After I shot all my blouses we also done a few implied nude here is my favourite, it looks kinda 90's but I really like it.

Good Morning!!

I have emailed so many photographers lately they are all just merged into a massive uber gloopy photographic orb, like 'The Blob' or something. Think I have confirmed 3 more shoots though, and one this week in which I will be taking some of my favourite AbleGrable stuff and prancing around a studio!

You should check out the newest addition to the AbleGrable collection the Boudoir Kitten! I am absolutely in love!

I am still wanting to do a shoot in a paddling pool full of jelly. I have sold loads of my bra/boobie items that are too big and I quite fancy a cossie from ForLuna, can't decide which of these three are most 'DeeLaBeau'. Currently leaning towards the Blue Cherry one!

Valentines' Day

Well it's here tomorrow, haven't got anything for Mr Le Beau nor made plans. Like I said he's never made the effort and I have ran out of juice to try anymore. My Nan was round today saying it was stuff like that was important for keeping a marriage working, me and my husband don't even exchange anniversary cards. We have planned to have a massive Star Wars themed party for our 10th Wedding anniversary in 2012 if we make it.

I have my heart set on an Able Grable Dream Girl for the P-A-R-T-Y but I spied this on Etsy and fell in love, I wouldn't have the figure for it and lets be honest other than for a Star Wars themed hoo-haa when would I wear it again?

I am trying to get my gear together for a Mother/Daughter Wonder Woman shoot with my Baby Vee! I think we would look awesome as Wonder Women. I got some cute star hotpants from Etsy and a long line bra in ivory which I am going to dye red and sew on gold bits. Problem with having mahoosive boobies. Just hope the dye takes.

I can't really talk about too much on here now there are too many family eyes who might read this. You know who you are....Dave.

Belt Shopping Discoveries!

I needed to buy a really skinny belt, an idea I have to admit I have borrowed from Fleur De Guerre who wore a skinny belt with her gorgeous Able Grable Wicked Lady and Lutie Mae frocks. So I went on a bit of a mission to find one this morning, I just wanted a basic black one, nothing fancy I bought one from http://www.steptoesantiques.co.uk/. I think the belt idea is fabulous because it makes the amazing frocks look a smidge more casual.

I like the fact p&p is free from this site and there is massive selection and range of prices.

Found a few things I love!

I think I could totally rock this dress.

I love this bag! And it's even in the sale :)

And this cute little Lucite Brooch has caught my eye!

Rough as Get Oot....

as my mother would say!

Last weekend (Fri the 20th of November) I went out with my friend with the intention of being a lady and remaining sober surprisingly after drinking a bottle of wine, two cocktails followed by another glass of wine I got a little bit rat arsed. However I wear a super cute little outfit my Able Grable Floral Scarlet Street blouse with some HeyDay high waisted trousers and got plenty of compliments from both ladies and gents.

Since being fragile from the alcohol I have been nursing something between a cold and a flu, and we had visitors, on top of which I have had an assignment to do (which I have just sent away this morning, so I am treating myself to a week off).

I got my full high res disc from Sarah Chappell and the pics are awesome! This one is probably my favourite but my skin is such a let down, I have been on this anti biotic stuff for about 9 months now and my skin is still awful I have a face full of craters now and I feel disgusting. I have been given the chance of a shoot on Wednesday but I don't know whether I can do it because of my acne, unless I can strategically place my hands and hair, because she wants to do head shots.

1985 Flake Girl

I have never been told I look like anyone before, MissMatilda's recent look-a-likey discovery has prompted me to blog about a likeness she noticed after my AbleGrable pics were taken. I have a kind of a weird face. Massive bonky eyes completely different sizes, a Chris Eubank nose and huge fat lips. Until I got boobies my nickname was JoobJoobs based on my lips. Naturally as soon as I woke up with a huge chest my nickname took a slightly more filth ridden turn.

However after I had my piccies taken by the wonderful Greg Sanders with his bag of super kit and super masculine jaw, Miss Matilda pointed out that I resembled a girly, Janis Levy (who is not dead despite The Sun saying she was) on a flake ad from 1985 (a year before I was even born). So I did a bit of research and I have to agree! Here are the pics

First Gig in 5 years!

I used to love music it was a massive part of my life for a long time, I enjoyed singing and making music with like minded people but I guess my priorities in life changed when I had Laurence. Everything shifted.

The last gig I went to was Electric Six in December 2004? Or something ridiculous. I did go to see a friend's band called Won Mississippi earlier in the year but people you know don't really count.

I went to a gig last night a bloke called Alan Windram, I am a massive fan of this chap, I can't even really explain why his voice just makes my tummy tingle and I love his songs, sort of soft and very easy to listen to.

I sort of stumbled upon him too which makes it even better. I remember back just after I got married I was typing random words into Itunes and it came up with his band Splendid. I clicked on Buy this album entirely by mistake. I was annoyed with myself at the time actually but the songs kept appearing on shuffle and every time they did I liked 'em. I then purchased their other album.

When I was pregnant, the time I become an emotional idiot! I used to lie in the bath with my wriggly bump listening to Splendid and bawling my eyes out. I have listened to albums to a point now that they remind me of significant times in my life. Alan recently released his solo album which I love just as much as the Splendid ones.

I felt like a bit of a noob but asked to have my picture taken with him! Also! I'd like to add I only found out about 8 months ago he was from the Borders it was total coincidence. I figured he was from the big smoke and I'd never get to see him live. He had a little super cute guitarist called Rory Butler! I reckon he will get famous. Just a feeling in my bones.

I wore my gorgeous Able Grable Scarlet Street Blouse an absolute comfy divine delight! Didn't manage to get any decent pics of rocking it though. I will do when I get something decent for my bottom half. :)

Just too proud to wait!

I recently did a shoot wearing a gorgeous frock from

www.ablegrable.com

The absolutely delightful Wicked Lady Dress

Exactly the same frock as Miss Amanda is wearing apart from mine is in Lipstick Red! Absolutely delicious red. This dress feels beautiful on, I honestly felt a million dollars in it, at least two classes above where I am now anyway.

You can now also follow AbleGrable on Twitter!

All the pics of me rocking this frock are on my myspace or my flickr if you want to see more!
Photos taken my the fabulous Mr Greg Sanders at The Groyne (charming!) in South Shields, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
