Ramblings of a Model, Mother and Outspoken Weirdo

Last month I did a wedding shoot with the lovely Jaye from Tux and Tales Photography, she was looking for models to pose as couples and I kinda emailed and suggested it might be an interesting idea to shoot a more 'Alternative' couple. She agreed so I went on a hunt for a male model who look liked the kind of guy a purple haired recently latex clad Dee La Beau would go for and I found just the fella on Model Mayhem his name is Peter Stanton.

I borrowed one of the gals dresses if I am honest it isn't something I would of chosen myself, I don't plan to wear white nor a dress if I remarry. Next time it will be the intimate affair I wanted last time before it spiraled out of control. I also had a purple and orange bouquet that I thought was cute. I'm not gonna tell you what I want because on the geeks will be impressed. I have no plans to be Leia nor Padme though. I'd also like to be proposed to in a very Saw-esque fashion involving a wolf but I won't bore you with that.

The shoot took place in York and a park just outside of York. Quite a few people thought we were genuinely getting hitched! It is really had to mock intimacy of a wedding day, or even of being in love, I was really lucky with Pete though we were able to have a laugh and it didn't at any point feel uncomfortable.

I am so proud of the images from this shoot, and I have to admit when I received the disc last week it made me cry, probably for a mixture of reasons. Here are my favourite images from this shoot.

So no real news from Casa La Beau! Don't have any shoots set in stone, was meant to have one next weekend but have had to cancel there are two local togs who I have been trying to sort shoots with for months but our schedules never have a mutual window. I will though, preferably studio work now on the grounds that I apparently never wear trousers and it's freezing outside.

I am waiting for images from a couple of shoots though and I kinda like that. Also at the end of the day if I can get to spend time with my boyfriend that is more important than being shot! I do want to get some pics taken in my burlesque costume so I will need to set that up, and me and my Mr are wanting to do a shoot together, I had wanted to do it before Halloween but it doesn't look like that is going to happen now, nevermind it will still be a larf!

I got some Bridal shoot images from my shoot back in May with Christeeny, I have decided I make a rubbish bride and would rather be a Ninja. For peeps visiting my blog from places far away, this is my hometown it's bridgey and the sky is regularly morbid.

30th of September is a weird day for me personally. It is a big Yay! day in a massive way because it is my friends' anniversary. Ellen and Nick are super important to my, I remember their wedding day so well. I was Maid of Honour just as Ellz was for mine. Their wedding was fab, full of prettiness and fabulous people. I was also about 14 weeks pregnant at the time, it was just a really nice day at a really fabulous time of my life. Everything was good then. We lived out on a farm in a place called Harlow Hill, we had a gorgeous teeny cottage full of character.


However my friends may remember that in 2004 I found out I was pregnant in January, the circumstances around it were pretty terrible, surrounded by questions and a pile of crazy. This baby would have been due on the 30th of September. I had a miscarriage in the February and also got sacked. So the 30th of September is a day absolutely filled with memories, some good some bad.

I am in no way fishing for sympathy by the way! I am strong lady and have coped with everything thrown my way so far.

Went to my sisters wedding today! In the lovely Seahouses (I quite enjoy the puffin on the Seahouses website). The weather was gorgeous, my poor mother was so unbelievably stressed, I could just tell she wasn't enjoying it as much as she should have done. Even with the stress my Mam still looked about 15 years younger than she is!

My sister looked beautiful, and the groom and his team looked super dapper in their brown and gold suits, and my niece Charlie looked so cute I could just about eat her up!!

My two were shattered most of the day so we didn't really stay very long. I am not generally a fan of wedding but today was very short and sweet. If we didn't have the kids with us we probably would have stayed longer and mingled more.

It's been almost 7 years since I wore it and married my big doofus of a husband and it fit, it was a bit of a squeeze but it was on my wedding day. I expected putting it on to envoke a big rush of super memories but it just didnt in the end! My children were wrestling on the train of it while I was try it on so maybe part of me was just thinking 'Oh my god! This started....this'!

I have been crazy busy but havent really had a lot on, its been a bit bizarre.

Just watching some Lie to Me and then I am going to finish my Ben Elton book, Blind Faith, its really good and I think I will be able to finish it tonight :D
